Policy for COVID-19
Updated March 7, 2021
Dear Registered and Prospective Guests for houses at Morse Mountain,
Here is what is relevant to Morse Mountain rentals in State of Maine COVID regulations:
Guests coming from ME, NH, VT, MA, CT or RI are welcome without restrictions. Beginning May 1 visitors from all states may come without restrictions unless exempted by the CDC based on COVID data. Maine mandates wearing masks in public and staying home if feeling ill.
Those who have either recently had COVID-19 or been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, regardless of their state of origin, are exempt from testing or quarantine requirements. Federal requirements related to international travel, however, remain in effect.
Those from exempted states or other countries will need to self-quarantine for 10 days, or duration of stay if shorter, unless they have had a negative COVID test result within 72 hours prior to arrival or are fully vaccinated more than 14 days prior to arrival. Tests are not required for children under age 18 if traveling with adults in their household who tested negative for COVID, as it is unlikely children are positive when the adults are not. Testing is not recommended for children under age 1. While testing should occur in their home state, tests are available in Maine; guests will need to quarantine while waiting for results.
Guests will need to sign the Pledge to Protect ME State document to ensure compliance with the requirements outlined above.
We continue to monitor guidance from the CDC and others about lodging safety.
Here are some steps we are taking:
Asking that no one come to a Morse Mountain house if anyone in their party or people they have had contact with has symptoms of COVID-19 within 10 days prior to arrival
Asking that visitors to Morse Mountain houses adhere to Maine CDC guidelines for COVID-19 found at: https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/mecdc/
Ensuring a full 24 hours between guests in any house
Taking extra steps for thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting between guests
Anyone who finds they are unable to come as planned because they or anyone they have been in contact with has had COVID symptoms within 10 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund; we are waiving our usual cancellation fee.
As state guidance evolves, we will keep you updated by posts on this website. We will reach out to guests with reservations directly with any relevant changes.
Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
